I’ve been discovering ways to work in glass for over forty-five years now, and every piece teaches me something new. Except for my slab glass sculptures, I work exclusively in the copper foil technique developed by the Louis Comfort Tiffany studio. My work has evolved over the years, eventually incorporating not just many varieties of glass, but also colored agate slices, as well as pressed glass objects and the organic shapes of hot glass pours. My pieces are in residences across the country, including Arts & Crafts homes and Victorians in northern New Jersey.
In 1977 I began a twenty-four year stint as a colorist for Marvel Comics. Back then, the books were hand colored on photostats with Dr. Martin's watercolors. Eventually they went to computer separations. This led to learning Photoshop, which led to photo retouching, creating book covers, posters, and prize-winning illustrations.
